Be One of Our Experts to Help the FDA

Can you identify and discuss any medical device technology areas within the field of orthopedics that you believe will increase in terms of relevance in the next 5-10 years? If so, ASPS needs your help! In 2016, ASPS was approached and accepted by the FDA to participate in their vetted Network of Experts representing podiatric surgery. The Network of Experts is a select group of medical specialties enlisted to provide medical expertise to the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) within the FDA.The Network of Experts is only intended to broaden and supplement CDRH exposure to scientific viewpoints, not to provide policy advice or opinions. Other participating medical specialty organizations include the American Academy of Neurology, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and more. Were looking for members who are interested in participating in the Network on behalf of ASPS. We are specifically looking for members who are willing to share their thoughts on current and upcoming trends in technologies within the profession. Participation in this activity places you in a position to be viewed as a leader in your field. This will also allow you to interact with providers from other specialties, network, and educate others about our specialty and our society. There is no minimum number of years in practice required to participate. We encourage all non-Special Government Employees to consider getting involved. If you are interested in working with the FDAs CDRH Network of Experts on behalf of ASPS regarding this topic, please submit your CV to ASPS Administrative Coordinator Sara Chergosky at skchergosky@aspsmembers.org. Deadline is Wednesday, December 22nd.
